Kids Ferst, a reading program set up to encourage children to becoming lifelong readers and learners, welcomed their 100th member on Wednesday, May 23. Breanna Pettyjohn signed up and quickly becoming the 100th member of Kids Ferst. Children can sign for this program at no cost. Kids Ferst in aimed for families who have children from birth to 4.5 years of age. To enroll, you can visit the Gilmer Community Food Pantry every Wednesday from 10 till 12:45.You can also enroll your child by visiting Cowan's Book Nook in the Village Shopping Center during their regular hrs of operation. Donation need to be made out to: Ferst Foundation, mailed to: Kids Ferst, P.O. Box 105, Ellijay, GA 30540.
